Performance: Citrus Paradisi by Paweł Świerczek & Mateusz Trzebiatowski, 19:00 at Skippergata 15
“When white straight man described a grapefruit for the first time in 1750, he called it the forbidden fruit. The Latin name of this fruit – Citrus Paradisi – still carries this connotation of biblical paradise. The grapefruit itself contains naringin, which is an inhibitor of liver enzymes that neutralises most of the conventional medications. For people like us, taking pills regularly, grapefruit is indeed the forbidden fruit. ”Citrus Paradisi” is an invitation for queer meditation and reflection on social relations and biopolitics in context of HIV and metal disorders.”
